Friendship is not a thing that someone can write and you will get it. It is a felling, expression, sense and most important a bond. By saying this one word “friendship” flood you with numerous feeling, thoughts and memories. All memories that people can share and laugh upon when they get old are the moment we share with our friends.
“FRIENDSHIP” is the biggest topic of any era, we have many films, dramas, books, stories and even poems about it. Makers, creators or artists found this as the most interesting genre to work on.
It has such a great effect on our life that it effects our mental and physical health. A number of research studies determines that friendship has contribution to a better physical health of a person. Friendship is a crucial element in protecting our mental health as in-front of them, we can be ourselves and not person with mask. The best thing about friends is that “they accept you for who you truly are”.
It is scientifically justified that we share 1% of our DNA with our friends after analyzing almost 1.5 million markers of gene variation by Framingham Heart Study. This might be the reason we choose people as our friends with same field of interest and behaviors.
Although whatever it is scientific or biologic we need them in our life to pull us when we are falling, to strengthen us when we are weak. To move your life’s vehicle freely we need a fuel called FRIENDS. The conclusion is that they are important to us in all the sense.
The tradition of celebrating Friendship Day began in 1935 when the US Congress decided to dedicate a day in the honor of friends. It was important because the devastating effects of the First World War still showing and increasing hostilities, mistrust and hatred between countries providing the perfect conditions for another imminent battle. There was a greater need for friendship and camaraderie not only among nations but also among individuals.
In 1997, the United Nations named Winnie – the Pooh, the famous cartoon character as the world’s Ambassador of Friendship. Since its inception in 1935, Friendship Day and it’s celebrations have come a long way. It is celebrated throughout the globe in present days.
This day is just reserved for our friends, sit together just like one big family and relive all those old joyful memories. We share thoughts, exchange ideas, party hard, crack jokes on each other and most importantly tightly hug each other. No other day is as best as friendship day.
